New studio coming soon: Caledonian Rd, N1.

We are opening a new studio on Cally Rd! The studio will provide ceramics courses & drop-in sessions as well as studio membership. Work is underway and we’re aiming to open late summer / early autumn. This feels like a natural next step for us, and something we’ve been working towards for a while.

To register your interest in classes, membership, or to ask a question please: email info@thekilnrooms.com.  More info on what we’ll offer below.

Classes

People of all abilities are welcome to join our classes! We’ll run daytime and evening courses most days, offering flexible availability. If you can’t find a suitable option, email info@thekilnrooms.com with your preferred day/time.

Our most popular courses remain our 12 x week beginners/intermediates. Although these courses are aimed at developing beginner’s skills, they can be tailored to everyone’s capabilities. These sessions are held in the class area of The Kiln Rooms, where we like to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Once on a course, you also have access to drop-in sessions, providing additional studio time.

We don’t have a schedule confirmed just yet, but hope to start taking bookings in July, with courses set to begin in September.

*When bookings open in July we will be offering an early bird discount (amount TBC)*. Prices will then be as follows:

One-off taster sessions: £120

5 x week taster course: £240

12 x week beginners / intermediate courses: £415

*20% NHS/student/over 65’s discount applicable on weekday morning courses.

Schedule TBC

We don’t have a schedule just yet but will host a number of evening, weekday and weekend options, hopefully starting in September 26. To be notified first please email: info@thekilnrooms.com

Membership

Setting up a studio in London is an expensive process. Becoming a member of The Kiln Rooms saves money and provides flexibility. We provide all of the equipment and tools necessary for just about any form of ceramics and offer large working communal areas.

The Kiln Rooms is built on a community ethos, where all members work respectfully alongside each other, or together for mutual benefit. Working within this studio model fuels the development of ideas and a broadening of social / professional networks which wouldn’t be possible working in isolation. We nurture this supportive environment through a range of talks, events and selling opportunities.

We plan to open in September/October ’26. If you would like to express your interest, or have any queries, please email info@thekilnrooms.com  You can also call: 077 3203 8052  (11am-4pm, Mon-Fri)

  • Before membership starts, a full induction to the space is given

  • This particular membership model is not suitable for large scale production potters or people making very large work – for this we would advise joining our Copeland Park studio.
